Bitik Elementary School (BES) was founded in the year 1965 through the effort of Tamaraw Hills Home Owners Association.  During those times, residents have difficulty in sending their children to school especially during rainy season.  This has prompted the community to put up a school.

Through the presentation of the respected elders and community leaders namely, Rosendo Santos, Evaristion San Miguel, Alfonso Morales, Domingo Sagum, Alfredo Veneracion, Dr. Marcela Avaceňa, Atty. Celso Sta. Maria, the owner of the land, Atty. Avelino Deato, permitted the use of the Chapel of Birhen Auxilladora as the first grade one classroom.  The same people made the effort to request from the education sector for an extension class in Marulas Elementary School.  The request was approved on the condition that they can have a minimum of 30 pupils.  They recruited pupil ages 4-7 years old.

From then on, enrollment increased remarkably.  The classroom multiplied after a year of operation.  Starting from a single makeshift classroom, BES has changed drastically.  It was during Mrs. Erlinda S. Ongjunco’s term as principal when the two old MTBLSB was constructed and immediately followed by the three-storey building (nine classrooms).  The muddy quadrangle was filled-up, cemented and landscaped.  During the term of Miss Editha Rojales, another three-storey building (three classrooms) was built, in the year 2008, the multi-purpose building and the dome-typed covered court was constructed thru the effort Dr. Ofelia G. Santiago in coordination with Congressman Magtanggol “Magi” Gunigundo.

The Four – Storey, 16 classroom school building was established 2018 – 2019 through the effort of the Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the coordination of Honorable Eric M. Martinez Congressman of District 2 Valenzuela City. And at the present, the improvement covered court was going on in spite of the pandemic.

Principals at BES have come and go. The first principal of the school was Mrs. Andrea Aquino, followed by Mr. Pio Teodoro, the third was Dr. Cecilia Matig-a, after which was succeeded by Mrs. Erlinda S. Ongjunco, then Miss Edith Rojales, Mrs. Aurora Suatengco, Mrs.  Lolita G. Rivera, Dr. Ofelia G.  Santiago, Mrs. Marichu R. Escalona, Mr. Roberto Llanita, Mr. Arcenoel D.  Zapatos and at present under the   supervision of Mrs. Corazon V.  Tanfelix.

Since then and now, Bitik Elementary School has continuously improves itself to better service   it stakesholders.
